In the anthropocene narrative of climate change, forests play a vital and pivotal role in maintaining the earth’s balance.
For interdisciplinary Filipino artist Razcel Jan Salvarita, the concept of “forest dwelling” has been both a literal and conceptual experience. He coined this process as part of the Climate Memory Lab – an artistic research initiative focused on forest conservation and climate resilience during his Climate Action Artist Residency in Lübeck, Schleswig-Holstein, Germany. The Climate Action Artist Residencies are developed and implemented by Cultural Vistas and generously funded by the Federal Foreign Office of the Federal Republic of Germany.
MHAS is delighted to feature a variety of artistic expressions by Razcel, including performance, video, and installation art.
