Residencies

Mental Health Arts Space (MHAS) Berlin hosts two types of “residencies” at its arts/project space located at Kaiserdamm 109, 14057 Berlin.

Type A

The Pop-Up format is suitable for non-profit arts and cultural organizations, independent artists and educators looking for a space to host their event. Mental Health Arts Space (MHAS) Berlin provides its space for free for small workshops, readings, film screenings, book discussions, etc., that foreground the knowledges, experiences and stories of BIPoC and other marginalized artists and cultural practitioners. Workshops and events that adopt a decolonial and intersectional feminist practice are particularly welcome.

Type B

“Take Over” residencies: Mental Health Arts Space (MHAS) Berlin provides its location free of charge for “take over” residencies (usually two weeks long) for queer and BIPoC organizations, art collectives, artists and activist groups.

The arts/project space of Mental Health Arts Space (MHAS) is on the ground floor with level access to the bathroom. For accessibility purposes, the main door is 86.5 cm wide; wheelchair users please note this detail.
