Artist Intervention/ Conversation

April 1, 2022 @ 10:00 am - April 30, 2022 @ 7:00 pm CEST

by artists Nathalie Anguezomo Mba Bikoro and Nontsikelelo Mutiti

Nathalie Anguezomo Mba Bikoro combines installations, radio sounds, live performances, films and archive productions to analyze processes of power and fiction in archives that deal critically with migration issues. Thus, she creates environments for untold narratives of resistance movements among African women and Indigenous communities. She has received many awards, among others at the Dakar Biennale (2012), and is the recipient of the Berlin Artistic Research Grant Program 2022-2023.

Nontsikelelo Mutiti is a Zimbabwean-born visual artist and educator. She is invested in elevating the work and practices of Black peoples past, present, and future through a conceptual approach to design, publishing, archiving practices, and institution building. Mutiti holds a diploma in multimedia from the Zimbabwe Institute of Vigital Arts (ZIVA) and an MFA from the Yale School of Art, with a concentration in graphic design.
